15 Elements We Loved From Ranbir & Alia’s Intimate Home Wedding
South Asian Wedding Neha Garg AhujaAfter the royal and intimate wedding ceremony of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal in Rajasthan, we knew somewhere that we do not have to wait for long to witness the union of the cutest Bollywood couple, Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt. And when they finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the presence of close friends and family, we had our widest smiles. We were waiting with our batted breaths to see them as a married couple, all decked up in wedding attire, surrounded by their loved ones, and when Alia released the first wedding photos, our eyes were glued to looking at the gorgeous and much in love couple. The wedding was something very special, very personal, very intimate, and something that looked like oodles of fun. Two people deeply in love got married in their favorite place on Earth - their balcony where they spent five years of their relationship.
15 Elements We Loved from Ranbir-Alia’s Intimate Home Wedding
It was not a big fat wedding, but numerous elements made this wedding, a memorable & different one from the rest of the Bollywood weddings.
1. Ivory Wedding Outfits
Ditching the traditional red or pink outfits, Alia and Ranbir made for an ethereal couple, looking heavenly in their ivory ensembles on their big day. For the wedding day, Alia was seen wearing a hand-dyed ivory organza saree embroidered with tilla work. Ranbir, on the other hand, wore an embroidered silk sherwani with Sabyasachi uncut diamond buttons, a silk organza safa, and a shawl with zari marori embroidery.

While almost all of us anticipated which lehenga color or designer would Alia wear for her big day, her bridal look rather came as a surprise. She chose to wear a saree, instead of a lehenga and completed her look with a gorgeous, handwoven tissue veil that had a scalloped bored, giving inspiration to all the brides-to-be.
She even added a personal touch by getting her wedding date embroidered on the outfit, which says - The Fourteenth of April 2022'.

It's not the scale of the wedding that makes it a success, it's the people who are involved and the love that they share. Alia and Ranbir's wedding was a close-knitted affair with only their close family and friends.
4. Intimate Home Wedding Ceremony
While we loved Deepika and Ranveer's destination wedding at the Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy, but nothing comes close to intimate weddings in the comfort of your home. Alia & Ranbir got married at their most favorite place on Earth - their balcony where they spent five years of their relationship, and we loved it.

While Alia & Ranbir's choice of outfit for their wedding was very subtle, their jewels on the other hand were all about glitters. Alia wore Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls and completed her bridal look with a mix of huge kadas and red bangles.
Ranbir, on the other hand, completed his look with a kalgi by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery featuring uncut diamonds, emeralds, pearls, and a multistrand pearl necklace.
