A Whimsical Farm Wedding in NYC: Harman and Alam

According to Physics, opposites attract, and in general, that is contradictory but in a relationship, opposites are complementary. Introduced by their parents, Harman and Alam started their relationship slow by being friends first, and eventually, love bloomed between them. They bring out the best in each other.

Alam being the mellow one compliments the dramatic personality of Harman, and that is what makes them absolutely perfect. 

Proposal Story

The arranged love saga had a simple proposal story, where Alam proposed Harman on one of their photoshoot on a stunning location; a castle overlooking Lake George in New York. 

Though being the dramatic one, the bride always wanted a simple good band, and for that, she did a lot of research on Instagram; where she fell in love with a cushion-cut ring, and Alam got her exactly that. 

Pre Wedding Rituals

Harman and Alam's pre-wedding rituals were as fun and colorful as their wedding day and reception. From vibrant decor to traditional outfits, everything was perfect and deeply planned.

Wedding Details

The couple planned a grand, outdoor wedding with a tenure of a week and as Harman wanted an outdoor wedding, they chose a beautiful farm to organize their wedding. The bride was very particular about the themes and designs of each event and Brian from @abhishekdecorators, helped her achieve her vision and brought it to life.

For the wedding trousseau, the bride went to Delhi and Punjab to select everything. 

Wedding Ceremony

For the wedding, Harman wanted a whimsical wedding with wildflowers to give a vibrant garden vibe.

And as mentioned earlier, Brian did a fantastic job in bringing the whole design to life. It was looking like they got married in a garden full of colorful blooms.

The bride chose to wear Anamika Khanna as she is known for her intricate hand embroidery and the details in Harman’s lehenga and that red dupatta was making her look royal and stunning.

Her pieces of jewelry are from her family jeweler, i.e, The Khurana Jewellery House

She completed her whole look with a sleek low bun and Andrea (@yourfacemyartinc) did a soft dewy makeup exactly what Harman likes.

The highlight of her whole look was the nose ring and the Passa she chose.

Her gorgeous mehndi was done by Pallavi (@hennabypallavi).

Alam equally matched up to Harman and went for an Ivory detailed sherwani from Anamika Khanna and completed his look with a turban, a beautiful pearl necklace, and the sword from Nagi Jewellers (@nagijewellers_)

Reception Night

For their reception, both of them wanted it to be the grand and the biggest event of the whole wedding.

It was looking like a regal ball event with huge chandeliers and was giving a royal wedding vibe.

The bride wanted to go for something dramatic, and she chose to wear a Manish Malhotra outfit (@manishmalhotra05) with power shoulders.

The cape sleeves were adding a charm to her look and she was shining through the whole night with Alam by her side in a black tuxedo by Zegna (Zegna Official)

They performed their first dance on ‘I get to love you” by ‘Ruelle’, as the lyrics were so beautiful and it was perfect for them as a couple.
