Rani and Malhar’s Intimate Indian Wedding In Asheville, NC

Love is in the air and today we're excited to share Rani and Malhar's love story! Read on to see how they met and what advice they have for couples.

How did you and your partner meet? What's your love story?

We're college sweethearts, go Tar Heels! We were friends for a long time and started dating in 2014. Since then, we've done long-distance, lived together, traveled the world, and got married!

And how did he pop the question?

He organized a surprise proposal on Acorn Street during our last weekend living in Boston. Malhar was somehow able to get almost 30 of our friends and family to join us for the surprise from all over the country. It was the best weekend and such a sweet send-off from Boston.

How was the wedding planning process for you?

Malhar and I were management consultants at some point over the past five years. Let's just say, our parents may have been the toughest clients we ever had!

What advice would you give to newly engaged couples?

The best advice I would give to newly engaged couples is to soak up every minute of the journey!

What are you guys up to now?

We're currently in Chicago, IL! Malhar is an Internal Medicine Resident at Northwestern and I am a second-year MBA student at Chicago Booth.
