Established in 1992, Babu Take-Out and Catering has been a trailblazer in the Tamil-Canadian food industry. Originally arriving as refugees in the late 1980s, Babu recognized the opportunity to introduce the flavors of Eelam to the growing Tamil diaspora. Over the course of 25 years, Babu Take-Out has expanded its services and menu offerings while catering to the diverse needs of various communities. As a former recipient of social assistance upon arriving in Toronto, Babu uses his business as a platform to give back, supporting local schools, hospitals, and community initiatives as a gesture of gratitude to the welcoming country.
