Founded in the 1990s, Masjid Hamza, a nonprofit religious organization in Valley Stream, New York, evolved from a 2-family house to a hub serving thousands monthly. In 2000, it broadened its services, establishing Hamza Academy, an academic religious-parochial school with 200 students covering a range of subjects.
