Masjid Al Hamdulillah, sponsored by the Society for Islamic Brotherhood (SIB), was established. In the 1950s, a group of devoted African American Muslim brothers convened in homes, MSA's, and the Islamic Center of New England, Quincy, to pray and explore Islam. Recognizing the need for a nearby place of worship, they aimed to continue their growth. In 2023, they celebrated their 50th year of serving the Greater Boston Community, both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
