Shagun & Aman’s Punjabi Wedding In Vancouver

Aman and Shagun crossed paths during Shagun’s time working at the bank. Aman, a regular customer for approximately three years, and Shagun, connected through mutual friends who played a role in bringing them together. Their relationship embraces a relaxed and unassuming lifestyle.

The Proposal

Known for his low-key approach, Aman caught Shagun completely off guard with a surprising and utterly romantic proposal. The picturesque setting and beautiful view provided the perfect backdrop for a moment that surpassed Shagun's expectations, leaving both her and their loved ones pleasantly amazed.

With simplicity and elegance in mind, Shagun opted for a gold band without any specific inspiration, highlighting her preference for understated beauty.

The Wedding Vision

Shagun envisioned a more intimate affair, especially for the pre-wedding events. She intentionally kept the guest list limited to close family members, aligning with her desire to share these special days with those who held significant places in her heart. Entrusting the decor to trusted vendors, Shagun provided mood boards and color themes for each event, allowing them to seamlessly bring her vision to life.

Bridal Look

Drawing inspiration from traditional Punjabi styles, Shagun curated her wedding trousseau with a touch of Aishwarya Rai's iconic look in Jodha Akbar. Most of her shopping took place in Patiala, her family's hometown.

Shagun repurposed her mom's reception saree into a suit for the choorah day, and it looked perfect for the ceremony.

She found her dream wedding day outfit at Akriti By Shakun. The ensemble instantly captured her heart, while custom-made gold jewelry from Patiala completed her bridal look.
